The Saga Ends
Assassin's Creed: Revelations is the conclusion of Ezio's story. In 1511, Ezio travels to an Assassin fortress in Masyaf, learning of Altaïr's library built under it. When he arrives, the fortress is captured by templars, who also captured Ezio. They tried to
execute him, but he ended up executing their leader via hanging. Ezio escapes and looks for the five keys hidden by Altaïr that unlock the library. The Templars hold one of the keys in Constantinople, so Ezio travels to the Ottoman Empire. While there, he meets
the leader of the Ottoman Assassin's, Yusuf Tazim and his student, Suleiman. Ezio also meets an Italian woman named Sofia, who later becomes his wife. They all work together to find the remaining keys to open Altaïr's library. While Ezio is searching for the keys,
the Ottoman princes are arguing over who will inherit the Sultanate. Yusuf's student, Suleiman asks Ezio to stop the Templars taking advantage of the feud to overthrow the Ottomans and re-establish the Byzantine Empire. Ezio travels to Cappadocia where he finds a
Templar hideout and assassinates Manuel Palaiologos, finding the last key in the process. He learns Prince Ahmet is the real Templar leader and wants to steal what is inside of Altaïr's library. Ahmet kills Yusuf and kidnapped Sofia, demanding Ezio's keys as the
token for her freedom. He gives Ahmet the keys, follows him to Constantinople and kills him. Ezio and Sofia open the library and see the skeleton of Altaïr. He is holding a 6th key which unlocks a vault hiding an Apple of Eden. Ezio choses to re-seal the vault,
having seen enough for a lifetime. He retires as an Assassin to start a normal life with Sofia and leaves the rest to his descendants in the future.
